About Doug...
Doug Birmingham is a professional drummer and percussionist from Southern California. A graduate of the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, he began drumming at 14 and has built a career performing, recording, and touring with both original and cover acts.
Known for his solid groove, musical sensitivity, and versatility, Doug is currently performing with several country bands throughout Southern California while continuing to bring his experience to rock, funk, Latin, and other contemporary styles.
His recorded work includes collaborations with OMBB, a dynamic project blending world, jazz, funk, reggae, and rock influences. Videos from the OMBB sessions are featured on this site and on YouTube. Doug has also recorded with Clifton Williams & The Blue James Band, whose music can be heard on this site and on Apple Music and other streaming platforms.
